Provisioning Package Not Found

Troubleshooting when the Microsoft Entra provisioning package (.ppkg) is not available during pre-migration validation (~10%).

Description

During pre-migration validation, the application checks whether a Microsoft Entra provisioning package is available from the Opsole Admin Portal.

This error occurs when no provisioning package is found for the assigned tenant configuration.

The provisioning package is required to complete the Entra ID join during migration. Since it is missing, migration does not proceed. No device changes are performed at this stage.

Root Cause

No provisioning package is available for the tenant configuration assigned to the device.

Common causes:

  • Provisioning package not uploaded to the portal
  • Package removed from the portal

Diagnosis

In the Opsole Admin Portal, verify the provisioning package configuration:

  1. A Entra bulk Provisioning package .ppkg file is uploaded

Resolution

Provisioning Package Missing

Generate a new bulk Entra join provisioning package from the Microsoft Entra admin center and upload it to the Opsole Admin Portal.


Package Expired

Create a new provisioning package and replace the existing one in the portal.


After updating the configuration, retry the migration.


Recovery Steps

  1. Close the Opsole Migrate application
  2. Re-open the application
  3. Start migration again

  • The package is visible in the portal but the error persists
